Additional Notes: I want to you to be honest as possible as we are always looking to improve, be good for someone who has never seen the site to review it please, so they review it as a newbie. Also as it is a full review can you reivew all parts of the site please.

We have a blog section so would like that to be view as well please, baring in mine we announce all blogs on the forum as well so some members comment there others on the actual blog.

To clarify the staff situation here is what each group does:
admin/moiderators - self explantory.
designers - completed design request via the design service as well as creating graphics for our database.
packagers - complete packing requests.
writers - writing blog posts and articles for the databas, as well as reviewing sites and producing the newsletter.
promoters - promote the site and submit the site to topistes and directories as well as request services and help out other teams if needed.

Appearance and Style - (Out of 20)
Your appearance is very good! I don't normally like light blue (it might be silver; I'm slightly colourblind) and white together like this, but you've executed it very well. I like the way the blog looks almost exactly like the forum; often people who have both blogs and forums make them look different for some reason. It's nice to have consistency. I really don't have any complaints about the appearance of the blog. However, see where it says "Latest Blog" and "Recent Comments"? If you could use your forum's cell pictures (gradients) to back those headings, I think that would look really awesome. I'm not sure how possible that would be, though. The sidebar on the right also looks a little empty compared to the rest of the blog, but I do have a suggestion to fix that problem as well as another; see the layout section of this review.

Blog Layout and Categorization - (Out of 20)
Your blog's physical layout is pretty good. However, I do not like the way that you have "Recent Comments" in the body of your blog. It makes the "Latest Blog" column (which is the most important one in my opinion) smaller. If at all possible, I would recommend moving the "Recent Comments" column to the sidebar and making "Latest Blog" take up the whole width of the body. Most of the emphasis in your layout should be on your most recent blog entries. You may even consider cutting out the "Random Blog" box and making your "Recent Blog" box longer. That way, users can see more of each recent blog post without having to click "Continued." 🙂 Also, as far as I can tell, your blog does not have any system of categorizing blog posts. I realize that all your blog posts are going to be about forums, but it would still be nice to have some system of categorization. Just see what you can do about it, okay?

Commenting Activity and Other Interactions - (Out of 20)
Right now, you have an average of exactly three comments per blog post. This really isn't bad, but I would like to see more comments considering how active your forum is. Perhaps you can offer a prize of some kind to a random blog commenter over a period of a few days. You have a really active forum, so use that to attract attention to your blog, too! The people writing the blog posts should get as much attention as they can for their great articles.

Quality and Frequency of Posts - (Out of 20)
You appear to have very quality blog posts that come at a very reasonable pace. You've had five blog posts so far in September; that means that you're posting one or two a week. That's a good rate; the posts aren't too scarce, but it's also not overwhelming. I really think that your writers are doing very well. You've got some interviews with some really relevant people (including phpBB.com staff members). In fewer words, your blog posts are wonderful.

Spelling/Grammar - (Out of 20)
I could undoubtedly pick out many grammar mistakes from your blog posts, but that's only because I'm a nerd. The average reader would see the spelling and grammar on your blog as flawless. Your writers obviously make a great attempt to curtail any mistakes in spelling and grammar. In other words, there are some grammar mistakes, but it doesn't really matter because they don't make the posts difficult to understand, nor do they distract readers from the content.
