Additional Notes: Lol, I feel a bit silly with our little proboards site next to everyone who has real, paid web hosting. Anyway, don't hold back. We need suggestions more than anything. Little improvements are already being made each day, but we'd really appreciate your help. ^^ The admins are in mint green. My admin account is Severus Snape. Please note that we do have a few prominant Norwegian members, so their English isn't always 100% perfect. Thanks in advance!

First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)

I'll be honest, my first impression of the forum wasn't all that great. Starting from the huge banner, the text on the right, the little menu button and the overall dark/purple theme really didn't get me interested. But as I kept looking around, I kind of started liking all the things I didn't like at first. The of course we have your activity, which really got me excited to see such activity.
I'm still not a big fan of the huge banner, especially it being on just one side. I do, however, love the idea you are presenting in your banner, just a smaller size and centered would make it perfect. I never liked the idea of a complete black background theme, however your forum's darkness however did't bug that much, as a matter of fact I thought the design was really simple and neat. If there is one thing I didn't really like was the size of your text, it is extremely small. Overall, the appearance of the forum had it's likes and dislikes but I was earnestly impressed.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)

Again, I really didn't like having the banner on the left and having the forum description on the right. I would suggest, if possible, have the banner centered and the description below it. Also, I think it would a bit better if the login button was next to the home button, just think its more convenient to the users. Also, having the quick login option on the top rather than the bottom would be a lot better. The actual forum layout is very good, I like the idea of having your topic-related forums to more of a general discussion forums. Also, I must say the names of your forums are quite creative.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)

Statistics and activity has to be one of the better aspects of the forum. You have well over 4,000 posts and over 500 members, and many of your forum members were online while doing this review as well as within the last 24 hours. I was actually very impressed by the members online the past 24 hours, excellent numbers. Most of your forums have a great number of posts, few of them are really lacking posts, fill those forum as soon as possible. Your members seem to be very interactive with the forum, which is one of the most important things about a forum.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)

Just on a side note, you should have provided an example account as I was unable to view the actual list of the staff members.
From what one of your admins informed me, you do not have any moderators, all five staff members are administrators. This is highly not recommended, you should really consider making few of those admins simple moderators. I understand that all of your put in equal work, however, you should have a hierarchic system working on the forums; that is a must in any forums. All of your administrator seem very active on the forums, participating with other members.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)

I was very very impressed by the perfection of your grammar/spelling. I failed to find any grammar or spelling mistakes. Your forum descriptions, forum rules etc were all in perfect spelling. The vocab used on the forums are great as well. Your forum being a RP forum, your level of professionalism is good, however it isn't excellent, it does however have a fun vibe to it. 🙂

Thank you very much! But I did provide a demo account. Clear as day, in the form at the top of this topic. We don't have 500 members. We have 243. We have 7,796 posts, which is indeed well over 4,000. The background isn't black, it's purple. Perhaps the background graphic wasn't showing up correctly on your browser. We cannot customize the order of the menu i.e. swapping the login and new topic buttons. Also, we do have a staff hierarchy. Most things are voted on, but there are 2 main admins that pretty much have final say in all decisions.

Would it affect the review much if you went back and used the demo account?

Ooops, sorry I must have completely overlooked it. Honestly, I don't think so, I think I'd still get the same great feeling from the forum. And sorry about the members confusion, I mistakenly looked the number of topics instead, nonetheless you have a great number of members. I was regarding the background of the container, not the whole forum. Thanks for the feedback 🙂
