Your Website Review
Pros:
- Your site is very easy to navigate and read. Everything is clearly layed out and simple to understand. All the buttons require no explanation, and if you're looking for a certain section, it shouldn't be hard to find. Also, you don't have too many sections which is good.
- Your banner looks really nice. It has a nice warn color scheme, and it looks like Kirby is excited to see your site's name, which is a cool effect. It doesn't flow with your background perfectly, but it's good enough.
- I like the content on your site. It's comprehensive and useful for Kirby fans. I have no doubt Kirby fans will find something to like on your site.
Cons:
- Your site looks like it was done 10 years ago. Seriously, it looks ANCIENT. Everything, the HTML design, the tiled background, the buttons, the old-style hit counter, etc. look bad by today's standards. I would seriously get your site more "modernized" because it's not very good looking right now. This is by far, the worst problem with your site.
- The forums button seems to be done incorrectly. On any page but the homepage, it disappears. I think you might need to update other pages to include the button for it.
- I keep getting this annoying message, "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?
WARNING! This page is attempting to forward you to another site. If you do not trust this site, you should click CANCEL.
Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page." while on your site. I have never had this happen on other sites. I think you should redo how your buttons redirect back.
- Whatever you're trying to display next to the hit counter is broken. All I see is a QuickTime logo and it never loads. Just get rid of it, it's going to cause issues. It just doesn't work.
- Some of the spelling and grammar could be improved. I noticed a lot of missing commas, a lot of times words like "I'll" were spelled like "i'll" and "I'm" was "i'm", etc. I would start working on that if you want people to consider your news serious.
Final/General Thoughts: The content is there, but well, the look isn't.
