First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)
The first thing I see is your portal. I am not a fan of portals. They are annoying, as most people just want to get right to the content. It shows a few trivial stats, but not much else. I understand they can be useful, but I would suggest taking your portal out or adding a lot more content to it. Now to the forum.
Your theme is one of the best I have seen in a long time. It is probably the most eye pleasing I have seen of recent. Everything on your forum is lined up and nothing seems out of place. Apart from the portal, my first impressions were untarnished.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
Most of your categories are ordered nicely, and are placed in the right places. However, I think the "Film" and "Music" sections belongs in the media center.
The theme is great like I said. The colors blend nicely like I said.
I can't find many flaws in the layout.

Not bad for a general chat forum, but some areas are a little inactive, receiving no posts for weeks. I would suggest starting threads there, encouraging members to post there, or even posting packages.

Well, the name of the forum is Dan and Julian's forum. But Julian as an admin has 4 posts and has not been on in months.
I am not sure that you need 3 admins (2 inactive) and 3 mods (all active) for a medium sized forum.
