First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)

What an amazing custom banner. You have a bunch of characters from several games I recognize and each character stands out in the throng of one another. The text of your banner stands out reasonably well considering how busy the rest of the banner is. Good job getting everything on the banner to look the way it does and balanced out.

The icons you have installed for your boards are very attractive to the eye. They go with the style, have a nice color, and a image on them. Overall they are simply just well executed.

The table in the header of your forum above all your boards is honestly the only thing I’m having an issue with. The table just seems large and takes up lots of space. Everything inside of the table looks fine. I just think everything is bigger than it should/needs to be. I would recommend shrinking the two images in the middle section of your table to reduce the table’s size and height overall. I would also suggest moving the banner below the table to the footer of your forum if you must keep it. With the table already in the header I don’t think you need that other banner there as well. It just clogs everything up.

To be honest it’s nearing perfection. I think your “Help, Feedback & Suggestion!” board would have been better off above your “Domain Podcast” board. I felt it should have been below all the other boards except your Introduction board.

I felt your entire Off-Topic section, along with the boards in the section would be better off at the bottom of your forum. I would then place your ”Domain's Oasis” category above that as the discussion relates to the topic of your forum. If you moved those two categories I think the order of your categories and then boards would be perfect. Those were the two main things I thought were out of place.

Otherwise I love how everything is laid out. It’s nice to see you put your affiliate and topsite banners at the bottom of your forum. I’ve seen so many forums that have their banners on the top or side of their forum and that is very annoying. You chose the right place to place those banners.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)


Your forum opened April 13th, 2009. So far it’s been open for about a month and a half shy of a full year. I am impressed and pleased with your current activity levels.

You just past the 100,000 post milestone which is very good considering your forum is on a pretty strict topic unlike a general talk forum that appeals to a larger audience. You guys are also nearing 5,000 topics which will be another great milestone in itself. All your members are posting which is pretty important.

In the past 24 hours you’ve had almost 100 regular members on your forum. I personally am also impressed with that. While I was completing this review there were 11 members, 4 staff, and 20 guests on/viewing your forum. I’m not disappointed on activity at all. Good job!

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)


I don’t think your forum is over staffed or understaffed. You’re at the perfect level as of today. Your staff to member ratio is 1:11. That means (if you’re not aware) that for every 11 members you have 1 staff member. That’s good.

The staff members on your forum appear very dedicated and appreciative of their job. They all are active and online and obviously are working hard to manage all the members and moderate all the boards and sub-boards around your forum. Your staff members spend a few hours daily on your forum to moderate all the boards you have.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)

I read some of the mass PMs in my inbox to check the grammar and professionalism of those. I must say that some of them were better than others but for the most part I was pleased.

The grammar and punctuation used in your board descriptions is exceptional. I don’t know if it was just me but I found no errors what-so-ever. Now, I didn’t have time to read through each one but I did read through several of them at random. The ones I read like I said were exceptional. No lie.

I stopped in to read your rules thread which is a thread on forums that hopefully gets read a lot. I did find an error in rule 5. It currently says “I'm very experienced in this dept., so i know what to look out for.” It should be “I'm very experienced in this dept., so I know what to look out for.” The “I” should be uppercase. There were a few other things like this though. Just remember the first word of a sentence should be capitalized and words like “the” and “and” in the middle of sentences do not need to be capitalized.

Final Remarks:

You run a good forum that has become very nice. You have a good userbase, activity level, style and more. I was very impressed and can see why the forum is the way it is today. Keep up what you’re doing and I can bet you the site will keep on growing and become even better than it already is.

What was most liked about the website/forums:
The style. The buttons for your boards, the custom banner, the color scheme, etc. was so well executed! I never use a dark style on forums but I can honestly say that that wouldn’t be the case on your forum. That is the only dark theme I would ever use.

What was disliked most about the website/forums:
What I disliked most about your forum was your grammar and professionalism overall. Some of the mass PMs and important, must read threads on your forum had some errors. Reread those important threads and posts and fix any obvious errors you may come across while doing so.

Honestly, I would consider registering today if I played the game. Unfortunately I don't play it. If I did though work on your grammar and punctuation. Proof read everything!

Thanx for the review, bud. Just a few things to explain, though. The podcast is actually like an announcement, in itself, as it does relate to the forum and it's members throughout our podcasts. That's why i decided to have it close to forum announcements.

And, The Domain's Oasis is our forum games / staff section. So i feel that it belongs at the bottom. Has nothing to do with the subject theme of the forum.

And, the PMs, most of those are sent from our staff member who is mexican, and not 100% fluent with his English, but it's his trademark, and we wouldn't change that for anything 😛 And, i never capitalize my "i"s :happy: It's kinda my trademark, that, and saying "thanx"..

I'll go rate in the topic after a bit. Thanx again.
