So how many of us just get bored when doing SEO? I know I do... so I was thinking today, it'd be massively funny to keyword a site to something it's not, like make "BlueHumor.org" beat out CNN.com in the Google SERP for a search for "CNN" 😛
But, I doubt CNN would be that funny. So i'm taking suggestions on what to market BH to beat out. It can be any site, even FP for all I care. I'm not saying it will, but i'll do my best to try.
Afraid that won't be possible Leo, you'd need a full office of dedicated SEO experts for that 😛. Go after some site with an affiliate program, and redirect the domain with an affiliate link after some time, could have some fun AND earn $$ 😛
@Gimgak
Actually, if we did it for fun we could manage it. People like to beat out major sites and to be active in something special. I've gone and set up an extremely basic page (I still need to fix the meta tags too), and anyone who wants to help can and will be listed on the list. Heck we can even make the people's names link back to their site as a "thanks for helping".
@Fowler
I doubt we'll do it, honestly it's more for fun and learning SEO tricks along the way. And who knows, if enough people get into it maybe it can be done, who knows 😛
@Fowler
Don't, because that would defeat the purpose. See I want it done as a community project, where anyone can help. By donating it all to just me assuming it gets pulled off, it means that i'm the only one that's going to benefit. That's not cool :-\
The way it's currently set up, every body who helps can get their name and website put on a list for others to check out.
I'm debating whether to try and buy a domain for this or just use the current url (http://www.bluehumor.org/google/google.htm) I think the current is probably better for fun rather then "google-google-google.info" 😛
I do need to get a few more things in place before I start though, the "Get involved!" page still needs to be set up.
