Hey all!

Well, I just ordered my GS4 for $150, and I can't wait for it to arrive in two days from Verizon. If you could upgrade, would you get it? Why or why not?

Congrats on your new Smartphone purchase.

I probably won't switch to a Smartphone since there are not a lot of affordable and fast pre-paid Smartphones espiecally a S4. Most of the prepaid cell phones in my budget are older Android 2.3 Smartphones, so I might as well use a inexpensive prepaid feature/regular cell phone with good reception, and battery life.

I also own a smaller tablet, so I can use most of the same apps on my tablet as a smartphone, so I don't really feel the need for a Smartphone right now.

Congrats on your purchase. I know how fun it is getting a new phone.

I wouldn't personally get it.

Yeah, the only reason I got it is because one, I get a hell of a discount on my service and the phone itself because of where I work. Also, everyone has the S3, and I don't want to be like everyone else, so I forked out a little more money to get the upgrade to the 4.

The Galaxy S4 is a wicked phone, I would personally say it's easily the best phone on the market, with the HTC One and Xperia Z behind it. Good purchase! Which did you get, the octa-core version or the quad?

I wish I could get my hands on the exynos version;however, I have heard of the GPU in the octa-core is a little buggy. Verizon only offers the quad core version, but I don't mind. I mean hey, I'm getting it $100 off, I can't complain lol

Also, check your email Luke 😀

S4 for $150? Did it fall off a truck?

Congrats. 🙂

I decided against the S4 as the screen size would have been a marginal difference in size. My S2's screen size was 4.52" and the S4's is 4.99. I needed a slightly larger screen because I use my phone more for browsing and texting than I do for calls and if the font comes up too small on my screen then it strains my eyes and causes my head to hurt. It was this, and the fact that since most of the S4 features were software based, I knew that my S2 would be getting them eventually with Jellybean. Therefore, getting an S4 would've been redundant..

These were the main reasons why I went with the Note 2.

I'll be getting my Galaxy S4 Saturday or Monday. I am looking forward to getting one. 🙂

Wow, that GS4 you got is cheap! ^^

I wouldn't upgrade to GS4 or whatsoever though >< I would prefer a Note 2 still 🙂

Guys, I am considered a Verizon employee, so I get an equipment discount and my service is also discounted 🙂

If you are referring to my new s4 only working on the Verizon network, yes. With the 4G LTE sim card, it is programmed, so is the ESN, to only work on the Verizon network repeaters.

I would upgrade it and customize its kernel

Verizon doesnt take kindly to that at all. My brother is on Verizon and works for them and he said that they basically watch you like a hawk. So he is cautious about doing anything like that in fear of voiding his warranty. I suppose Verizon's Carrier IQ takes it a step further than other carriers. My Note 2 and S2 had it and it was the first thing I removed when I rooted my phone.

He said that he wants to be able to send his phone in for service of something happens and although that is understandable, he's had the same phone for 3 years and he's never sent it in once. I've sent my tablet in to Samsung for repair and I unrooted and wiped my device 2x removing both Clockworkmod and the root before doing so and Samsung was none the wiser.

But i think the Smartphone more convenient

I haven't really had a need to use Apps, and look up information online when I am away from the computer.

I find a Tablet more easier to use because of a bigger high resolution screen, and the text is bigger.

Also, I can add almost all my most used App icon on the Homescreen on my tablet, so I don't need to use the All Apps, Search engines, and other launchers to find the shortcut for apps. I can also add more widgets to my tablets homescreen.

Got my Galaxy S4 the other day. I like the S4 it is great. 🙂
