"GameCrowd" Homepage Interface

This is a homepage screen for a project I'm working on called "GameCrowd". I'm looking for some feedback on the look of the site. Thank you in advance.

Concept:

A lot of gamers have fantastic ideas for games, but they have neither the knowledge nor the technical ability to make it a reality. GameCrowd is a collaborative website where gamers help devise the concept for a full fledged video game. The idea is to have the GameCrowd community come up with the game's genre, script, character design, music, dialogue, etc. Users from anywhere in the world will be able to create a GameCrowd account and add their own submissions to those categories. Everything that's contributed to GameCrowd has to be voted on and approved by the GameCrowd community. The ideas/content with the most votes (or likes) will be incorporated into the final game design. Once the concept has been finalized, a video game company (e.g. Epic Games) will actually build it based on the drafting done by the GameCrowd community. Every GameCrowd contributor will receive a free copy of the game, but main contributors will receive revenue from sales of the game.

Looking decent on first sight. I'd add in more contrast to the grey text, it's a little hard to read, so I guess I'll have to go contrast rebellion on you lol - http://contrastrebellion.com/

Not sure if this is just because of development or something but if you click on "Sign In" ... you get auto signed in as a dude called "Jack Thomas" ...

Yeah, that part is still in development. That's just an example. ;-)
