The Thunderbrew Club is now known as Gamers Underground 2.0 starting today hereafter.

Thanks 🙂 It's a name that I use to have back in 2004-05, so I revived it.

Since coming back to FP some weeks ago, I never had a chance to tell you about my forum.

Almost 2 months ago, It was called The Thunderbrew Club where it was an original name one of my friends pitched at me. But 4 days ago, some people who joined my forum saying that the name itself threw them off. I heard their responses and on that day, August 27th, I brought back Gamers Underground which was a name I had back in 2004-05 where I had a lot of members and over 4,000 posts until I had to shut it down due to personal problems and my battle with depression.

Now that I revived that forum name, it's now called Gamers Underground 2.0 so it can make more sense and sound more appealing to the younger audience. A wonderful person on Proboards who makes forum layout themes created the gaming forum theme I requested and a .png stock image banner. What I did single handedly is for the banner, I used the GIMP image making software and I added the emulator font to put at the bottom of the banner. Then, for the posts, threads and boards, I put in a PS2 font and finally for the default font, I put in a Robotron gaming font. for those two fonts from my own fonts file, I toned down the weight from bold to normal font weight so the two fonts themselves can show more clearly. Now Gamers Underground 2.0 has more of the 80s-2000s feel to it taking them back in time when video console and video arcade games became a part of our lives.

The forum background, by the way, has all of the video game characters like Luigi, Q*Bert, the little goomba from the Super Mario franchise, Tetris to name a few.
