Gaming site

I was wondering how to go about launching a gaming site. I heard it's pretty regulated. Where would i ask for direction and should i even do it? Gaming seems like a profitable niche. Can you get tonnes of traffic on those sites?

Its a good niche but there's a lot of gaming sites, that are huge. Its up to you and if you have interesting features / ideas for it. Otherwise there would be no point in making a gaming site...

I don't know if I'd say there's "no point" to it, but this pretty much summarizes it.



The gaming community is a truly vast one, and if your community is intent on being more general as opposed to covering specific games, you will have to compliment it with unique content, or else it will be difficult to build a community around, because general gaming communities are a dime-a-dozen on the web. There's countless general gaming communities out there.
