Hello,

We have recently launched the full site at www.GeekAgency.net

It's a pretty new site and we would like to hear suggestions from around the world about what could be done to make the community a better place.

We also need help promoting our site. Your reply here on such advanced tips will be appreciated. We will also kindly ask you to join our forums to support our mission, which is to fight against the malware world.

The Crew at GeekAgency is also looking for Promoters who can make the site more active than what it currently is. We also have our very own Twitter Page and Facebook Group.

This is pretty much what is going on with our site. Is there any other way that you can recommend
to increase the site's activity?

Thanks
The GeekAgency Crew

That's a fantastic domain name, I really love it, congratulations on getting it.

The first thing you need is content. I notice that you have guides and tutorial sections, I would suggest that you get more good guides posted in there as soon as possible.

What about adding a section for virus alerts, information on the latest alerts will attract people to your site and could help greatly with your search engine traffic. When a new threat comes out, lots of people will search for that term and if you are quick to post info on it, you could rank highly in the search engines for that term.

Thank you Fergal. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. We will surely take your suggestions into consideration to improve our community.

We are currently looking for a few people to help out the Tech Crew Team. If you know anyone who is interested, please refer them to GeekAgency and tell them to contact me.

Thanks again

Are there any other suggestions?

Hey ForumPromoters,

Check this out. Each time we post a new guide, we get so much traffic. Look at the picture below for evidence.

Well Right from the start I see a few problems. I just tried registering and it says choose your OS.

So I thought okay put OpenSuse And Windowsxp.

I seen no mac linux or bsd choices....

So I clicked Windows Xp since thats what I dual boot with, then it says I didn't select anything...

Oh and under operating systems I see you put windows 99,I think you meant 98 😉.

Thanks for registering, I appreciate your help.

We will try to fix these issues as soon as possible, but in the mean time, promote us, and have fun!

Thanks

Doctor Tech, the one think that really struck me when I visited your site it that this has HUGE potential! You have an excellent domain name and great branding ability. My mind just started racing with the opportunities.

The one thing I would recommend above all else is: Create a blog. Search engines show blogs a lot of love and blogs, by nature, are much more viral than forums. Start blogging about the latest news in your niche. There are always new things happening in the technology niche that you'll be able talk about. Blogs not only drive traffic, but help build authority.

Then focus on driving people from your blog to your forum.

Blog = traffic and visitors
v   v   v   v   v   v
Forum = Long term dedicated members.

I checked out your Twitter account and I really recommend you start posting more than just links. No one's going to want to follow something like that. By manually posting your link with a helpful title it'll make it way more helpful to your readers. Also, use a url shortener to make the links prettier. 😉 Not only that but you'll be able to track clickthroughs. *Same thing applies to your Facebook page*

Find popular tweeters in your niche (computer/techy stuff) and follow the main ones. Provide quality tweets and interact in the conversations and people will follow you back and in the end, you can point them to your forum or blog via a tweet.

Building traffic doesn't happen overnight, but stick at at and I'm sure your forum will be a big hit!

Hope this is enough to get you started. If you have any questions or want more info please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Null-11. I really appreciate the supportive feedback. I am really requesting a lot of help since our staff needs more Crew Members to help out.

We are kindly asking you to join our Staff group as an Administrator, to help us with this community to make it the best it can be since it has a HUGE potential.

Let me know if you can help out. We really need you!

I am guessing with that new guide thing, you have that linked to twitter?

If so:
Sorry but that isn't all legit traffic. Many of those guests are bots.

Not all of the Malware Removal Guides are on Twitter and Facebook page. Besides, we only add the links right when we publish the guide, but we get traffic after about 3 days.

I'm not sure if they are bots or not, but I'm still satisfied with my site having 31 "users" online at the same time hehe.

I PMed you.

The domain is nice, but I don't think it can be backed up with the design and graphics. The banner is not clear, the design isn't that great. Try to look for professional designs. For a site like yours, you will be trying to look for skins with square edges, as opposed to curved. Curved edges are more for graphics, general discussion, where as square is for business, sometimes promotion and support. Keep it up, good luck.

Very nice! 😀

Since it's hosted on Youtube you should embed it here and on your Basic Promotion posts. Just use the [Youtube][/Youtube] bbcode. That'll increase views and maybe even get it a few comments. 😉
