First off, you need to have a bigger forum. http://prntscr.com/9p6e31 The sidebar is literally bigger than the forums, which looks really awkward. You should do anything you can to have the sidebar and forums align correctly. GeekZone would also look cooler if you added some forum-specific icons to it, instead of using the default ones. My first impression f your site is very positive. You have a simple and nice theme, everything seems to be laid out nice, and you have a really nice and unique color scheme that many people can adjust themselves to nicely.
I think your site is structured pretty will. Just some suggestions and improvements I would do. I think it's important to keep the main topics that are related to the general niche towards the top of your forum. The 'General' section you have should be placed at the bottom. I think you need to push the Coding, Graphics, and Technology forums right to the top to promote them more than the General discussion section. Also, you have a lot of sections within the 'Lounge.' You're giving a lot of potential to post within there instead of your specific topics related to your site. You could also combine Entertainment and Gaming into a single forum.
Most of your posts are in the General section. I would strongly recommend that you start creating a lot of content within your niche specific sections because that is what you are trying to build a credible site based on. You want to build informational content that keeps users coming back by finding Google searches of certain topics, etc. Really get down and focus on all of the stuff you care most about which is probably why you opened the site in the first place.
I think your design is very nice. I'm really in love with your banner. It is very unique, clear and crisp, and original. I'm very pleased with it and you have something brandable - "Stay Geeky." I'd work more with that if I were you.
I really like the header area with the gray and lighter gray design. I think the site has a little too much white to be honest. Maybe you could integrate a little bit darker background or find a cool background image that is subtle but fits with your site. You could even create custom forum icons that could really look nice on your site and give it an extra level of uniqueness.
Unfortunately, I think this is where you lack. There are a lot of tech related forums out there and unfortunately I don't see anything on your site that sets you apart from any of the other sites. Really try and focus on content and stuff that is unique to your liking. This way you can really get popular quick because you will have something other sites don't.

We have implemented some of the suggestions and improvements you mentioned and some of them are still a work in progress as they take longer.
We know our niche is saturated but we also know that the majority of communities that cover the same subjects as we do are basically a forum you visit to either get resources or learn how to do something and then leave. We aim to provide that but to also keep our members. To continiously provide resources and finish any requests our members may have.

I like the simplicity of the theme in general. It's simple, but at the same time it's professional, and that fits well with something like a "Geek" Zone. One thing that I have an issue with is the plain text "your link here" under the affiliates section.
I think you should, at the very least, use an 88 X 31 affiliate banner and link it to a thread that explains your process for affiliating. At least, it won't just be plain text. I think the way it is now, stands out like a sore thumb.
I like the use of, what looks like, font awesome icons for the new/old icons. I may be wrong about the type of icons, but I like the icons you used none the less.
Anyway, good luck with your forum.

I love everything about the forum as far as looks go. The only thing I could suggest is that maybe you can make the forum icons another color? It just seems like there is too much red going on.
And do you get some sort of discount by having that banner in your footer for Inmotion Hosting? Just curious, as we use them now. 😛
But yeah, everything looks awesome. I love the mini-profiles in the threads, very modern and clean. =D

I love the logo which I've already told you I think 😀. Love the look of the site as well. I think you need to focus on content a bit as a lot of the forums are just a bit empty and have not been posted in for a while
I am a big fan of your theme and the logo. I think it is all clean and very professional looking. I love going to a site and being drawn in by those two things. The one thing that does have my attention in a negative way is that the General sections have more posts than the others. Have you tried posting more in the other sections to try to even it out a little?
