I sold GF, not because GF is not a great a forum, but because of something completely different.
GF has some of the largest potential out of all the forums around there. It's PERFECT domain name, amazing new management, and all of you (our friends here) will make GF one of the leading forums on the net.
It will take time, but I wanted you to realize that I did not jump ship because of fear of GF failing. Forums have been my passion for my entire life. However, I realized that managing forums (or at least owning/administrating them) is not something I want to take over my life.
Along with that my life has changed a lot. I left college due to personal reasons and am working on improving my life so I can go back some day.
That all said, I am still here on GF and plan to be here forever; unless I get fired for slowing the loading times due to my superduper activity! 😛
I will be here, posting, and currently I hold the position of Super Moderator. This is something that was not part of the deal.
I sold GF to Fergal, who is one of the best forum managers and administrators that I know of. You may know him from elsewhere, but I think in time you will see GF turn into an additional testament to his insight and vision.
Please show Fergal the same respect you have shown me through the short life I ran GF.
Furthermore, if Fergal implements additional rules, I will support them. Please follow whatever rules he implements. If he takes away, adds features, etc I will be supporting them so I don't want you coming to complain to me if you don't like something. Please take these up with him, or in Site Discussions (unless a specific feedback area is added).
