I keep hearing that there are a lot of General Forums. Could you name me some?

Like others have said, there is the Promotion Directory that you can browse through! My forum in my signature is a general forum, there are about 3 others or so in the directory that I know are thriving as well! 🙂

Too many of them around. Unfortunately, that means that few are even worth bothering with.

Niches are what keep forums alive today. Everything else goes on Facebook or Twitter.

A simple google search could have answered this. Perhaps google the following "General chat forums" or "General discussion forums"

As for general forums I've noticed from FP would have to be Wober and Atrium. Both are nice communities.

If you look at my siggy you'll see I run one myself. 😀

I see them popping up daily and most don't survive, which is a shame. General discussion forums seem like the easiest type of forum to create, but one of the hardest to sustain.

I'm pretty fond of Chat Addicts as well as Atrium.

If you're into a more gamer-y side of things, you can also check out Gamer Devils. They have a pretty large general section as well. 🙂

General forums are very overcrowded. Although, small communities are awesome! Join some small one and make the administrators day or something. 😛
