Some article directories allow this if you leave in all of the links and author box, have to read through their TOS though since not a whole lot of article directories do this. I doubt Varund cares about google rankings if he wants C&Ped content though 😛

Imagine, those articles are already indexed on google and probably have been for years, you want to copy them on your site word for word, if someone searches the same article or a few words of it, it's going to show the other site's results and not yours. Im sure it'll also bring down your PR a little for having the same indexed content 😉.
