^ if we talk about posts only, my offer would be:

- you (or somebody for you) make a normal post in active thread on your forum with a link to my site.
- I place your 20x20 or 40x10 pixels image / logo on my homepage (link to your forum), and I put info in pixel lists (with another url to your forum).

So I wouldn't join the forum, but I would bring to it a lot of potential users aka exposure.

^ thing about ad in advertising section is: 1. it would be temporary and 2. it would be hidden by ad-blocks.

I give steady and visible links, so I think it's fair to ask for the same in return.
