Its a very interesting one, i used to game a lot but always used my name "Alan" but eventually i got into the web coding and being involved with many forms of breaking web script codes to find solutions to fix them so with gaming and webscripting together it was formed., eventually during a gaming session with a few friends i came up with the name "ghosthunter" but i didnt like the look of it so i then formed it into "Gh0st4unt3r" that you now see here today.
The name has been with me now for around 10 years.
its a long one but i can shorten it down a little 🙂
from a young age i was interested in technology and websites, coding etc, as time went on a good friend went into internet marketing and has done really well, and in 2011 we both teamed up and worked on some amazing projects together.
in late 2012 i had a website called web solutionz ( not running anymore - and the z i know) this was aimed at helping web admins with any problems they would be facing in either setting up a website to fixing errors etc, in 2013 i wasnt doing the internet marketing anymore and then moved into offline and online support for individuals and businesses with many forms of IT and web solutions it had picked up well and in feb 2013 i registered the limited company, to this day it has changed and evolved over the years to better fit what the demands around the globe. so with it being 2016 i found that offline work was a lot of competition as too many people in my area do a similar thing so i desided to go more community and go back to my routes in running a community based resource website and this is where i am today all though i still do some offline client work and on the side freelance / web based jobs from time to time as i pick up my main core focus on DPWS Media.
The main reason i set it up is i love to help others and show that the impossible can actually become possible within the tech world and with the aimt o help others gain knowledge too gives me such a great satisfaction that i have given some great advise.
so with the aim in mind i enjoy helping others and is why i formed a site to help others with many needs from IT to the web side of technology
Well empire you are one of my management team on the site 🙂 and have done a fantastic job so far.
The offline side of things it has been a one man company for the years its been active, though i have had 2 partners ( co directors ) during the course which has helped the business out a lot but due to there personal needs sold the shares back to me so they can focus on their dreams which i have helped on too.
I have worked with many people to offline and online to co partnering on the business which is wonderful.
The team i have at the moment i would be lost without and im so happy they have a similar vision to me on how the now community side of things are starting to build up 🙂
I hope they will be part of the team for many years to come (empire yourself included haha) and become very successful within the business as its grows into the future.
I have many, i love all horror movies as i am fascinated with the supernatural.
but if i had to choose 1 its hard so i will choose 2
For horror
Conjuring
Action based
Fast and furious series ( Paul walker & Vin play the parts amazingly ) it was also sad to hear his accident that claimed his life as he was an inspiration to the world.
Thats a tough one probably go back to correct any wrong turns i have made or bad judgements, but i wouldnt be were i am today if i didnt take the route i have been on
so overall - i wouldn't go back as i love my life as it is with my family etc 🙂
Dedicated boxes are good but are very limited to its hardware, and in order to expand the server need to be shutdown by the data centre then installation of hardware to pop it back on again - this means downtime for a website in some cases unless some use mirror servers to host while main one is down.
The great thing about cloud is that you can expand in a short amount of time and you have resources from multiple location within the network you are on thus keeping your uptime near to 100% and upgrades take far less time and is mostly automated as the data centre has the resources to share its resources between machines.
Cloud is the way forward i personally think.
I do however have my own dedicated box at home for all my local web dev testing too
