Well, after a good 5, almost 6 year run with my Toshiba Sattelitie, I am moving on.

I will be trashing this for a new computer. I have an eye on a 800 dollar HP at Wal Mart.

any suggestions?

I think you could get a better deal than $800. I don't think HP has a very good reputation when it comes to laptops, either.

I got the labtop I use now for $800 😵

VAIO that has 4GB ram and a 457GB driver its a great computer 🙂 It comes with windows 7

what ever you do, make sure you get a computer with a Intel processor, not amd! Amd's may seem cheaper at the same speed, but there performance is way worse

I am getting a 500 dollar computer with SO MUCH RAM and a webcam with windows 7 home premium! 🙂

How much RAM? Windows Home Premium doesn't mean anything, it's the default. You may not be getting the best deal... unless you're getting like 4 gigs of ram.

some laptops come with 4GB of RAM these days, i would expect you to get a bit more ram than 4gb for a desktop computer

My grandma's desktop has 8 gigs of ram. xD

My mom got the HP G71-333NR it's great. 🙂 We're renting it from Rent-A-Center so it's gonna cost like $2000. xD It has Windows 7 installed free.

Actually, my computer runs faster than my old one. My current one is on AMD and the last one is on Intel (same OS, about the same RAM).

I got myself an HP but would need to look up the exact name/model. I've had no problems yet aside from the touch pad acting up (not moving where your trying to move it) but if you turn it off for a few seconds then turn it back on the problems gone. Aside from that like I said I've had no problems. I've had it since Christmas. I recommend HP. 🙂

@Irividing it is 3 gig RAM and 250 harddrive 🙂

I never could see the stripes on this theme 😛

I have an HP too.

It's a TouchSmart 300 1025 all-in-one
4GB RAM
Windows Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Athlon X2 processor @ 2.8ghz

pretty fast considering and it was only 800!! 😀

When it's time to get a new PC though in a few years, I don't know if i'll go w/ an all-in-one though, may just have my friend make me a really awesome one for about $900 🙂

That's not necessarily true. I have had much better experiences with AMD, and several people I know have had great experiences with AMD chips.

Why not sell it on craigslist. You know there are alot of nerds and geeks out there who would love toying with your laptop 😀.

I plan on giving the laptop to my little sister, as the value of it is horrible. The back is cracked from the top to the ram compartment to the battery.
