Getting Site Traffic

Well, I am on a same situation. Well, if not, I may not even BE here, to get some help. I tried backlinking(didn't work, well, not enough anyway), banner exchange(no impact as well, since they don't care, they just put it in there, and click on it and leave, since they care nothing unless it's something that they really like, but they just click on it, to get THEIR website traffic improve), tried Google adword, nothing happened, only my wallet gotten thinner, since they charge for ALL the clicks, for nothing. I had wasted close to $200 for 2 months for that alone, so I was like F*** it, and canceled it. I don't have many friends or that out-going so I don't even use facebook, twitter or what have you, so that doesn't do me any good. I even made a slideshow and uploaded to my Youtube channel(where I have more than 1,000 videos already uploaded), but nothing, nada, zilch of conversions I've received.
You see, I've tried pretty much everything, but NOTHING seemed to work, part of the reason that I am counting on these free ad forums to advertise as a last resort. If this doesn't work, then I am out of options. I will NEVER going to spend another penny(I've already wasted too much), and if time doesn't help me, I don't know what to do anymore. I tried to be on my sites and try to update it every time, but if people don't know about the site, since Google already have millions of sites under its belt, so I never know WHEN the sites of mine will ever make it to the first what, 5 pages at least, it's just a waste of effort. Oh well.

Start a facebook group for your website and invite all your friends and they will eventually invite others as well. You could also have small contest on your website so that it will keep people coming back and participating.

Not very 'clean' way per say but hey it works lol. Read this post.

"Hey lemme share with y'all this little trick to get some backlinks to your and get some exposure along with advertisement at the same time. So basically unless you really contribute on forum or some website site owners won't let you advertise your site. So the trick is to join the site and say something along the line, "Hey I'm from {Your website address}" then continue talking about how you joined the forum bla bla..

Another methods is to say something like "Selling my website {Website link}..." give them all the info what the site is about etc etc..

In both of these techniques people will either click your website or search your website in google. If forums don't allow you to post links just mention your website link while doing trick, people will search it themselves.. hahaha!

Hit4Hit is one of the ones I have already tried as well. BUT, it DOESN'T work for me. it COULD create traffic, but people just click on it, and leave. No real conversions there. They are clicking to earn credits themselves, so there can be no REAL new members gained from using it. Well, if you have a LOT of friends on Facebook, they WILL help, but since I barely login on Facebook, nor know anyone there(Yeah, I am pretty novice with social networking sites, well...)

But I think there's only a few services that may work for everyone, but so far, have found none, and I won't be throwing away my hard earned cash anymore.
