Getting sponsors for your site

This is one difficult campaign because it's not easy to get companies or people to sponsor your site. Of course, the prospective sponsor should have an interest in the theme of your site or forum, much better if the prospect is a stakeholder in the industry (where your site belongs). Some local sites I know were successful and some failed. One forum is about the horse racing industry where some horseowners (most are very wealthy) were willing to shell out big money to support the forum as long as his horses get a good exposure to the forum. I hope this idea somehow helps.

I think nowadays we need to looking for niches in small market then build community or be an expert in that niches. If that many guys will contact you to be a sponsor or even buy links/post on the site. IMO

It's helpful, sound like the new graduate students have start up and need to be sponsored for their ideas
But in our niche, i think we need grow our site quite solid to make the sponsor believe us
