Gimp

I used gimp to design many images for my site. My question is, how good are these images compared to a paid photo editing program? Is there any difference at all?

Its a great software , considering that it is free, but photoshop is just the better option for me . Easier to use .

For being free, you can't really do any better than GIMP. For a little more options and a better UI, I go with Photoshop. I want to get Illustrator, but I already get passed with Photoshop, so meh.
