Some aren't willing to do this. However, I have to say, at least in regards to rock and pop, what's on the radio - if that's really representative - is hopeless! Anyway, some people also hate the new country - but honestly, we don't live in Hank Williams' (Sr.) time.
 
You need to delve deeper to find good music as in my opinion, the radio already has a sound and idea of what they want to hear. It is very commercialised and popular in nature, which bands strive for in their singles. Albums are a better listen as you find those underrated and often 'better' tracks for me. 🙂

Well, even the commercialized stuff of the past - minus junk like "Turn the Beat Around" lol, was at least interesting.
 
There's good new music out there if you put in effort to dig through mainstream and look to more obscure stuff or even just anything not being heavily pushed by mainstream radio or TV.
