Global Warming

  • ● What are your views on global warming?
    ● Is the government/president doing enough about it?

Well there was an agreement that all the countries in the world signed but USA and china to keep the gases etc lower. They all had a target and they were all achieving the targets BUT then all the pollution in China has brought it straight back up again. It obviously will happen but I don't think the worst of it will be it my lifetime.

Yer, i agree. It doesn't seem that much is being done about it, but i haven't really been following it so i guess something must be being done otherwise people would be going mad. Global Warming wont really affect me either, i think its the next generation that will be affected most.

My 2 cents for what it's worth, One need only watch the Weather Channel to see how Climate Change,(A better term.) is having adverse effects on a global scale. Droughts, wildfires, flooding. Not a week goes by that some record isn't being broken. This is what scientists predicted 30 years ago, more storms and wildly shifting weather patterns. I wonder whats next????

Global Warming is important.

Most government/president are doing what they can while US are not.

The worst at the minute is probably china.

It actually surpassed the U.S. as a heavy polluter. And think how long the U.S. has been doing production, and now look at China's insane boom.

Uh, there's nothing anyone can do to stop global warming. It's been going on for millions of years and no one can prevent it.

Humans can at least do their bit to minimise what they have contributed to climate change.

And I think the reason China is in front is because it has the highest population in the world. More people = more people doing things that contribute to climate change. Also, tbh, western countries are probably helping them along by making cheap labour factories in china.

From an average human's POV it's better to slow it down. From the misanthropists POV, it's better to speed it up. Either way, in the current situation it's not very good (mass floods in the UK for myself and others do not make one happy).

Well, there is. Stop building more houses and start using current unoccupied buildings. Constantly expanding towns puts pressure on sewer systems and the water table so the chance of flooding from torrential rain is more likely to occur. That said, governments do build flood defences in some towns (they have done so recently due to the recent flood warnings).

I think it's too late. The damage is already done. I think Global Warming is only going to keep getting worse.
