This question was asked of me by Snobothehobo.

What, in your opinion, are the pros and cons of globalization?

One negative is that if another country decides to make bad economical decision, this will effect the whole world as we live in a global economy. Companies like Honeywell are starting to send jobs over to other countries that have lower wages. This causes the people in the US and other countries to lose their jobs. By doing this, however, more management jobs are open within the company itself.

Another con would have to be that if you do not have a higher education, you can't look at getting that management position that you want.

There are a lot of negatives to this but some of the pros to this is that it increases the economy in some other areas as we are not losing as much money as we would if we were to pay for our countries to create the products that we use today. It also encourages SOME people to go out and get that higher education in order to get that job that they so badly want.

What is your opinion?

Globalization takes the smaller people out of the equations big con

pro more money for the global company.

I don't support globalization because it tends to benefit only large corporations. Protectionist tariffs are necessary in trade to ensure that multinational corporations aren't exploiting people in developing countries for cheap labor.

If the countries that the large corporations originally came from didn't have laws on the books that made it hard to run a successful company in that country, I would have no problem with the company seeking ways to expand without spending allot of money.

Yes there are a lot of negative's now. Give evolution another 1,000 year's and my answer will probably be different.

Only 22 percent of Americans have a college degree. So globalists expect them to get a college education to make up for the damage they, globalists, have done? On top of that situation, only so many college degrees actually make good money or even any money.

globalization makes these effects:
- pros:
+wider market
+access cheap resources from developing country
+building economical region
-cons:
+increase threat from terrorist
+increase pollution

Globalization is some what like Isolationism both are polar opposites, but at the same time have the same result is they both are a suicide option for economies and it comes with the sacrifice of personal freedom. As post above mine mentions what he says is true, but it is all temporal it won't last forever and it doesn't really benefit any economy or country in the long run.

Many nations in history should be a warning to what Globalization can lead to. Look at the British Empire, Roman Empire and even more so Nazi Germany. All tried to achieve Globalization and all failed and it will continue to fail because of the reasons mention it isn't worth trying it is best to leave to each their own to what kind of government they rather live under and live together through mutual respect of each others opinions and views than trying to force each others views down each others throats. That is the problem.

Globalization is a scam. What's best for the majority isn't what's best for the minority. You've seen countries like the UK do their best to move away from globalization, because it's really hard for one government to govern such a large body of people.
