Anyway, original source was http://www.dnxpert.com/2010/01/27/99-ce ... n-is-back/ and it worked for me at 2:11:23 PM which was when i registered my 99c domain.

Someone told me via twitter it was limited to the first 7,500 uses... so i guess the code got used up pretty quickly and you missed out 🙁

He didn't lock it as he said he "thinks" it is a spam post not that it is a spam post so he kept it open to make sure if it was a real post or not.

I know for a fact it will not be discounted for 2 years, the whole point of this is for godaddy to make money on renewals so they'd be out of their mind to allow you to register the domain for a few years in advance for $1 per year.
