Going gluten free was a trend a few years ago, but for some people it's a necessity. Did you ever have to go gluten free? What kinds of foods were your favorites to eat?

I don't have any official diagnosis of gluten intolerance nor celiac disease, and I am the type of person who can eat anything. BUT, I have chosen to swear off eating grains of any kind for the rest of my life for the sake of my weight and overall health.

We found out that my daughter had a gluten intolerance a few months ago and since then, I have been buying her gluten-free foods so she can still eat meals we do but without the gluten.

It's been easier than I thought and not as expensive as I thought.

My partner is Gluten Free as he gets sick if he eats a lot of Gluten. Although sometimes if we go out for dinner or to someone's house he cannot help but eat Gluten. The price of Gluten Free food like Chicken Nuggets and stuff is really expensive.

I'm not on a diet, but I have gluten intolerance. My stomach bloats a little.

Luckily don't have an intolerance to gluten, just lactose which is the reason why I chose to switch to a vegan diet a couple of years ago. A vegan diet will push your food costs up a little but a gluten intolerance is likely to bankrupt you. That's certainly the case in the UK where gluten free food costs at least double.

This maybe completely off-topic but possibly worth some investigation. We've recently discovered that bloating can be caused by a problem that's only been discovered in the last few years. We think it maybe hereditary because we have two family members who have it and has a very obvious symptom.

The illness or disease is known as R-CPD or No Burp Syndrome which literally means an inability to bring up wind. It's treatable but it's only been recognized for a few years so most physicians are completely unaware of it.

Just a thought 🙂

I think a lot of it had to do with my soda addiction. I haven't had soda for a week now and I'm a lot less bloated. Which is good. Another positive note is that my anxiety and my depression aren't near as bad. So I think the caffeine was contributing to those things.
