Okay so for the past few years I have been putting links to my portfolio/another site on all my sites, designs, scripts, and ect. So now i'm going to get a permanent domain.
Now what i'm thinking is should I go:
First Name-Last Name.com
First Name-extra word.com
or
Some domain.com (edgestudios, something, ect)

Any sort of specialty? I'd assume forums, just because we're on FP.

So...

MegaComm(unity)Studios.com

I think using your name will work, but it's not very creative.

Well, if you work alone, then I'd suggest to use your name as the domain. There is no need to get fancy. 🙂

Just use your name or a variation of it or something.

Mine is quite simple, imdan.me (I'm Dan), or terryharvey.me (Terry Harvey). Something that is getting more popular with personal websites nowadays is (as you can see with these examples) is using the .Me domain even though it's a ccTLD for Montenegro.

Hope this helps.

My real name is way to long and my first name is taken in all formats.
So i'm going to go with the one I have in another extension and buy the .com maybe the .me.
