For those living in the US, the interstate isn't so scenic - with major exceptions (driving thru mountains, certain cities). Anyway, for a good change of pace, who has tried the US routes? I've been on some and it's so much more scenic. Well, maybe not scenic as in nature - but going thru small towns, cities is way more exciting than an monotonous interstate.

I live along a scenic route for the local stretch of the interstate, and most of it is real pretty through most of the year.

Live in the UK, I'm near allotted of A roads 🙂 THen again I'm less than a mile from the Yorkshire moors ;0

A US route - or some equivalent in your own land could take longer, but way more interesting maybe.

I've done the scenic routes before and one thing I have to say is that you have to watch your speed because the troopers really keep an eye out for out of towners on those roads! It can be fun cruising through those areas but keep an eye on the speed limit signs because one sign might say 50mph and in 10 seconds it's dropped to 25mph.
