years ago I started collecting music cd's. there was a very good market nearby which would sell them for 50p to £1.00 and with this my collection started.

now over 13 years later have just done a count up and got over 2,500 tracks.

I love the 80's music along with easy listening plus have loads of t.v and movie themes.

just moved to a new location and off I go again getting more cd's

Its a good hobby collecting music cds for over a decade. But now we just have the facility of a click on the internet to collect whatsoever we require to build our library. It has become much cheaper and easily available right now.

I used to buy cds for my music, and decided to put them all on the computer. I don't think I ever had more than 100 cds at any single time.

We have over 2TB of Music all sorted by Artist and then by Album. Used to have several 1,000 hard copy CDs. Converted all the CDs to MP3 and now we simply by Digitally. Sold the CDs on Ebay, got a good price for them.

collecting cd's is a good thing i think, especially real old ones, you can actually see and feel them, actually enjoy the booklets and read them unlike online downloads and such...

think that is what I like, I purchased war of the worlds and it came with a booklet listing each song and their words to go with it.

with records too I liked the album covers and the labels on them.

thinking of getting a new comp but dreading doing the playlists, I use both windows media player and winamp.

got two devices as well and it has took me ages to do the playlists on them.

one thing will keep me occupied if I go ahead with the planned purchase.

Good call with the eighties music!

Some was pants but the synth stuff from Depeche Mode & new wave like Tears for fears were great, Soft Cell were just brilliant, as were the Cure...as were Kraftwerk and still are :great:
