Nope, I mean I had to call them out and then ended up not using them as people nowadays have to wait for eight hours in the UK for them to come. Faster to jump into the car and drive there
I have twice. The first time I was hit by a speeding car and broke some bones, the second time was far more serious and I nearly died.
I ingested a combination of two prescribed drugs and grapefruit juice which caused me to go into anaphylactic shock. Luckily I was attending the British F1 G.P. when it happened and was taken by ambulance to the in-field where I was diagnosed by a rather knowledgeable doctor who gave me a shot of adrenaline.
If I'd been anywhere else I probably wouldn't have survived.
I haven't. I've been very fortunate that way. I had a family member drive me or even drove myself. Ambulances are so expensive & I hope I never have to take one!
@zappaDPJ Wow! We're glad you are here with us now 🙂
About a decade ago, I was riding my bike and had just finished riding 20 miles and got to my street. I swerved to miss a rock in the road and didn't see a parked car in front of the truck I was next too and hit the back corner of the car doing $3,000 worth of damage. I had glass cuts all over and broke my front tooth. I didn't want to go to the hospital by ambulance because I felt really stupid, but I'm glad I did. I needed stitches and then later that evening went to the emergency dentist to get my tooth looked at.
The ambulance ride was a LOT bumpier than I ever expected. I'm glad I wasn't in any real pain because that would have hurt more.
