I get the feeling by the time some people read this it will be tomorrow during the day. 😛

Hi there, I'm Drago. I'm a huge fan of dragons (as my name would indicate), and wish I could own one. I'm a single parent of a 13 year old (oh the horrors of having a teenage daughter!), and run my own business.

I'm generally an easy-going person to get along with, and absolutely love helping at animal shelters, which also says I'm a huge animal person.

I hope to stick around for a while and get to know you all. I noticed the 'hot seat' section, so I may just make a thread there.

Yes it is, especially when the child is opposite gender. I usually can't relate with my daughter too well since I've never been in the shoes of a female. Her mother was always the helper on that end.

Generally when a child is clingy, it's because they recently lost someone, or feel like they may lose the love one. Do your best to reassure her you're not going anywhere and try to calm her fears.

I used to hate kids, lol. I had never wanted one until my niece was born and I held her on the first day. That moment really changed my entire thinking.
