I'm trying to gte my forum bigger without buying anything so what are some good ways to promote/advertise your website free outside of in signatures and on a promotion forum?

Directories,Topsites,Email,Telling people over IM,tell people in real life.

Ask some friends, submit links to directories & toplist's, promote everywhere possible, affiliate with forums.
You will notice if you have a great content to your forum, not using freeforums.org you will gain more members than you have got now, many members here hate freeforums.org I think basically every member. Just basically keep trying as every forum goes off to a slow start.

yeah, I'd ather not use freeforums.org, but it's the easiest to use for free. I have no money, and am too young to get a paypal account

uhmm you can get a free webhost then install a free forum software like smf or mybb.

I believe Mybb has a feature to allow you to easily switch between forum providers. 😉

I believe your forum is hosted by freeforums.org

That's probably why members aren't joining. Freeforums.org are probably the worst forum hosting server ever.

Your theme doesn't like attractive.

No they do not. Only one I know of that has one,but not supported is smf. The same grabber that helped hcf convert from proboards. I will not link it though,because I am told it could be considered illegal.

1.) Telling all your friends
2.) Then submitting to relevant niche directories
