Um...to do what? lol

In general? Like anything you find to be good.

Im trying to make a software collection. 🙂

jDownloader

It helps "schedule" downloads from various file hosting sites to reduce time between downloads. Not sure how to describe it, but if you download from 4shared, mediafire, and sites of that sort on a regular basis, this will come in handy.

I'll keep posting as I think of more that is useful for the general public.

Ok thanks. 🙂

Some of my essentials. Not necessarily always the best in their respective categories but they all serve their intended purpose.

WinRAR
FileZilla
avast!
SpywareBlaster
Dropbox
Adobe Reader
Chrome or Firefox
iTunes
Skype

Sublime text 2, for people who code. http://www.sublimetext.com/

VLC Media Player. Handles videos and crap much better than the default WMP. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

CyberGhost VPN. Because you don't always want to use your own IP to do things. lul. http://cyberghostvpn.com/

FileZilla. To transfer crap to your hosting account without using the painfully slow upload page, take backups of your site directory etc; https://filezilla-project.org/

Itunes, Skype, Chrome, Open office, Teamviewer, Firefox & Opera..

Those are what you will find on every one of my windows machines.

I second this - all great software.
Might I add GIMP and OpenOffice - Great tools!

Second Gimp and OpenOffice, but instead of OO might check out LibreOffice. Has better support on my experience. OpenOffice crashed and lost data for me often. Hasn't happened once with Libre. Both free, both made from the same general engine.

Here are some more free Windows software which are good.

Advance System Care Free 6.2
SmartDefrag v2
BleachBit
Avast
Gom Player
VLC Player
Slimboat
Classic Shell
Startmenu8
Pokki
CDBurnerXP
ImgBurn
Ninite
Kingsoft Office
System Ninja
SuperAntispyware
Malwarebytes
Spywareblaster
Spybot
Teracopy
Google Chrome
Firefox
Camstudio
Rainmeter
