I will try to make my hosting on a wordpress site...will this work? I mean i got a neat theme and i am still looking for a plugin to help me with setting up an order/shop part of the site, but thus far i think I am on a good road 😀

Well I don't know if it's a good or bad idea, but I did the same thing. It is Wordpress with a free theme.

You don't need a plugin to do the invoicing and billing. You need either WHMCS or the free option, BoxBilling. I used BoxBilling and it was fairly easy to set up after a little trial and error on my part. You just direct the customer to the boxbilling with your order link and everything is taken care of; account creation, activation, email the details to customer.

My site is in my sig if you want to check it out.

Very helpful 😀 thanks for the info and your site looks great 😀

I'm more concerned about the longevity and stability of your hosting services instead of what service your site is powered by or what theme you're using.

I totally agree with that but you need to consider the "front" as @Dennis said. If you have an ugly front no one will ever bother scrolling down and reading more about your site/services.

Agreed ^.

Although I have never seen hosting providers on WP, (and in which WP is not the perfect platform), it is worth a try. 🙂

/a noob's thoughts:

I have never seen a website hosting running a WordPress either, but judging from the content of website hosting's website, it should be okay running on WP. What you need is probably one more addition for that shipping/booking process. As long as the content is clear and easy to access (aside a good hosting, which is obviously a must-have), I don't see a problem using any software.

Most people have not seen a hosting site running on Wordpress as they have not been aware it is Wordpress. Many people are stuck in thinking Wordpress is for blogs, it is in fact a CMS, content management system. It is commonly used for all sorts of sites and just because the copyright for Wordpress isn't there doesn't mean it isn't Wordpress. Go for it Shole, it is a fantastic system. Let me know if you need any help

I sure will tin 😀 *off topic* I signed for another year with my club and i next year ill come to try outs(Show off in Florida) if i have a good season * anyhow i got that idea from an talk we had long ago where you suggested to me to use wp 😀

I'd rather make my own modern website template and integrate it into wordpress for the hosting service blog, status blog or whatever. If you want to offer custom web design as well, I would not use Wordpress as your main site. Also if you use a web hosting software and you also want people to register on wordpress, you need to ensure there is a single sign-in feature otherwise having to register several times on the same site will get confusing to some people. My thought...

I use wordpress.com for my blog because it is an excellent platform and reliable hosting but with some finesse it can be anything you want it to be🙂
