Good ways to advertise your forums...

Does anyone know what good ways there are to advertise forums? I want to advertise mine, as it is quite new. Where should I do this?

There are alot of topics around that do give ideas of ways to promote. It is not only really about how you promote but it is what you promote and how you "sell" it to your potential members.
