Affiliate marketing can make you some money if you have a large e-mail and social networking lists of friends and family who buy lots of things like electronics, appliances online since you already gained their trusts otherwise they wouldn't have given you your e-mail or decided to be your friend or "close" family member, so convincing them to read your affiliate product reviews for stuff like "printers and discount printer ink" might lead to a few sales from people you know visiting your site. I made $7 in one day on Amazon Associates because someone use my affiliate links to buy two 90 dollar flash drives.
Selling your own products may also work since some friends and family might feel more comfortable buying stuff off of you since they can just go to your house to pick up the items if the items are ay your house instead of dealing with the postal mail service which can be so slow and reliable in some places.
Selling web hosting also works since my hosting for one of my sites is owned by an online friend who has a reseller web host.
Adsense, and other paid to click/impression networks earn very little money if you don't have "a lot" of targetted traffic in my experience.
