Good web tracker or analytics service?

Which web tracker or analytics service do you use to track your website visitors?

I'm currently using Google Analytics but I am looking for alternatives.

For best analytics of website traffic is possible using Google Analytics. You can also use tawk.to a tool for chat services of traffic analysis or tracking.

I rolled my own in Gosora, the advantage of running analytics on your own server (rather than via a client-side script) is that you can watch *everything* coming in including Googlebot, possible bad actors (I'm considering labelling the most common ones on my charts, they don't hide what they are in the slightest 90% of the time), and you aren't bound by any third party limits.

I can't give you much advice about which one to go for, but I haven't heard particularly good things regarding Piwik or their performance.

Yeah, but I'm looking for alternatives because I don't want to give an advertisement company access to that information.

That's a shame because Matomo looks pretty good.
