Yeah. Thats what I hate. When google displays ads that are only worth about 2-3cent for one click. Sometimes I get 1-2 dollars per click.

Loan and Mortgage sites are amongst the highest paying niches at the moment, some reportedly paying out anywhere up to $8 per click.

For those who are currently earning, have you tried playing around with ad positioning to try and improve CTR? If so what kind of results did you get?

I have left my ad on the right side block. I also have adsense on parked domains.

I am getting a CTR of .22% right now. So thats like 2 clicks per thousand ads. What is everyone else getting? I have moved some of the ad blocks around and it seemed to help.

I don't really make any money with Adsense, but I mainly do forums for fun, money's just a nice bonus ^^

I've never been bothered to use it because it makes your board looks like crap. Users don't like it either.

Happened here as well. It's amusing what they consider a "risk to their advertisers". For 4 years, no problems, when I started the latest project though, they banned me instantly. No rules violations, just the generic email that I'm sure you got as well.

No.. I figured making money off the internet is too hard. I dont really think its worth it to have an ugly banner at the top and bottom of your pages talking about 'How to lose stubborn belly fat' or 'Buy a vacation home in beautiful Spain' just to make 3 cents a day.

I only use Adsense and I made $100.75 off the index ad and 2 parked domains 😉

My first account on Google got banned for being a risk to their advertisers. I just made a new account after that and done it all over. 🙂

As he said, I would never destroy my webpages with an ad. It would ruin the look.

I have to agree here. One of the things I loved about google ads was the ability to blend the ad with the webpage well.

I'm earning an average of close to $10 a day via AdSense with my 2 sites. Almost reached $300 since I started a month ago. Loving the program! Highest payout in one day for me is $16.xx. My goal by 2010 is to start earning $15 a day (maybe even 20!). I think it's possible :O

Have you received a check from them? If not they might label you as a risk to the advertisers and take all the money back for no reason except they dont want to pay you.

Yeah, I'd be wary about making that much with google and relying on it. Their ethics are pretty shot. They may say you make that much money, but that doesn't mean they'll PAY you.

Yeah I have 🙂

And I'm not a risk, just because my sites are generating legit unique traffic? Haha. Already contacted AdSense about my ad placements and they gave me the ok 🙂
Majority of my earnings aren't from The Web Tower.

They only mark you as risk if you click the ads yourself. Also, yes I make good money (over $60) on the parked domains. They work pretty good. Especially the ones that are dentist ads. (sometimes $2/click)
