Google Chrome Themes

Hey,

Has anyone tried to make a Google Chrome theme before? Of course it's easy to go to the web store and download one quickly but making one is a very hard yet very fun experience. I've just finished making my own Chrome theme and I'm just seeing how it is right now and making sure to get rid of any bugs but it's been really fun.

The architecture of it is really simple yet some how very difficult at the same time. A chrome theme is mainly made up of images and because of the actual chrome back-end, themes consist of one .JSON file and the rest images, (mine used about 5 images). I recommend that you try it out yourself and I can help if need be but it will be limited at this point. It helps to have already done some sort of coding such as PHP to understand what's in the important .JSON file.

I'll get a preview up when I'm happy to show the finish product to the public.

I have once but got stuck half way through there about and never got back to it really. Need a good in depth tutorial for it its really hard to find one.

I haven't, but it's definitely an interesting idea to make your own!
Unrelated, but my current GC theme is from the manga "Hana no mizo shiru". Someone had told me that someone made a GC theme of it, so I was like "ooh! I want it!" XD
