Google Did-You-Know

It is archived there at Stanford...but can anyone guess what college Google was originally created at?

Ok well technically it was a 2 part answer. Most of the ideas and programming were done as a lab for a class at the University of Maryland. The only thing that really happened at Stanford was the launch, which really did not take a bunch of geniuses to do. From then on, it was just promotion.

No, I think they realized they were on to something, and went to the school with the smartest people in the country.

Someone needs to be able to break the norm and come up with something absolutely amazing in someones dorm room in college or at someones house during a LAN party.
