Google seems to be going after them again. However, that doesn't mean all exact match domains are being targeted, only ones with contain poor quality and social signals.

Search engines are becoming irrelevant for some people needing traffic. In that case, Google's statements mean nothing. I mean, if your getting loads of traffic from social media, what use are search engines?
