Google loves us. 😛

Don't know why I posted this, just seems weird.

It was indexing the registration page and the content on it, but not actually registering. 🙂

Ah, It needs to update it then 😛
Not at all. You would want/need Googlebot to index your registration page, so it can possibly appear as a quick link on Google searches for future members to use. Fast registration and good marketing.

Yes the staff and valued contributors get the arcade if I'm not mistaken

I guess that's a matter of opinion.
I want google to index the quality pages on my site, not the login page, member pages or faq page. :great:

Just wanted to add that you wouldn't be getting the audience which you want.
You might be getting the people that signs up on 100s of forums that posts junk, link dropping, etc.

I wouldn't sign up on a forum that links me to a registration page right away.
That's just me..

Erh...that wasn't what I said 😕 . On Google searches, the more popular sites will have quick links below the main link to major pages, eg. Information, Registration, FAQ, Forum etc.. Having that quick link show up is useful especially when you've decided to search up such a forum most likely from previous knowledge of the site. I never said the main link linked to the registration 😕.

I 100% understood what you were trying to say.
Quick registration for the spammers, eh?

As I said before, I will not click a 'register' site-link when doing a search to find a forum.
I will not know what the forum even looks like and I prefer to have a look before signing up.

And I'm sure other users that are looking for that special community will do the same, 😉

The registration page doesn't even rank that high (for this site anyway) so it is causing no harm really. On a forum with less content, it may be more visible.

I don't even understand how that is happening unless Google is just "crawling" themselves all over the place....
