Google Search Bar

Has anyone monetised their site with the Google Custom Search Bar? Is it better than earning money with Adsense ads? Have you had much success with the search bar?

I find the Google Search bar annoying, I'd rather have a custom search engine rather than go to Google and search for my content. It just seems more professional, using a custom search more is just a little tacky.

I had it on my forum before, but I didn't make much on it. I found that searching was more precise with the Google bar than with the regular MyBB search.

Depending on how one uses it, depends on whether or not it is a good idea for being used. Generally I like to use the coding that allows one to integrate it almost seamlessly into websites and forums, since it keeps you on the site, instead of opening a new window.

The times I have used it, it has generated usually 3-5 dollars a day, that ofcourse was with not allot of use of it, due to the nature of the site.

Did you try the integration feature that you can use, or the one that opens up a new window with the search results?

Ah, looks like I missed out on the integration feature. This could be a good asset to add to any website. Might give this a trial run.
