Not every site that ranks high in Google search receives lots of traffic. Though many do, some rank based on tricks that have nothing to do with worthiness of content. And, for this reason, you can still find irrelevant or thin content sites ranking high on Google Search. These sites usually produce frustration for the search engine user who bounces back quickly to the search engine results.

I think it would be a really good idea if Google would tell the search engine visitor how many times a link has been visited (by unique IP) by others, not just the person who is making the search. So for instance, all known visits by any IP would list shown. This number could be listed directly in the actual Google search description, next to the site link. This would let the user know how popular that link is with other search engine users. Some people would prefer to visit popular links as it's a sign there is relevant content on that site, versus sites that rank well (due to SEO tricks) but are not popular.

But I don't think that all the sites are with thin content and useless that rank on the first page of Google. Though your idea is executable, but still we are far better with Google searches as it ranks only the things that we can get easily.

I don't see how the number of times a site has been clicked on correlates with that site's quality. If I click on a link and it happens to be a worthless site hen why would my visit be a "vote" for that site??

Traffic to a site is not an indicator of the site's quality.
