So, Google released through Chrome search via talking into a microphone for those using laptops and desktops.

I tried it, and it seemed like it understood me half the time, just like people talking to me. I state one thing, and it searched for an another thing.

I understand the speak for people with disabilities and those writing rather large documents. But most search terms are rather small and seem to simply be easier to type.

Me think iz a stupid idea 😀
I really do think it is a stupid idea.

I'm not sure I want other people to hear what I search about especially if I'm in a public place like the library. Plus, it might be rather disturbing hearing what other people search for online since people search for some pretty weird and sick things sometimes.

I'm also worried about a hacker or cyberbully which is able to record what I search for on Google, and post my voice on YouTube and other media sharing site without my permission. Plus, they can grab my words from the recordin, and edit into a hateful sentence, word or phrase to make me look like a bigot, idiot, racist, or pervert.

I bet in the future, all we have to do is hold a book, document, or object up to a webcam or make a few common hand gestures to a webcam, and Google will search for related web pages to learn more about the document's topic.

Eh, I might consider using this more often, but most of the time I am not doing major searching to require me to be hands free from the actual search.

So you're worried about your voice being stolen, but not some video of you on a webcam?

I fiddled around with the voice search a bit, and even though I won't use it, it has very accurate recognition. I could talk in my normal conversation voice and it understood me.

I can always wear a mask or sun glasses while on webcam, so it minimizes the chances of someone knowing who I am even if I had my video stolen.

People would have a much, much easier time recognizing you from behind a disguise on webcam than from a short sound clip of your voice taken from a crappy microphone.

Don't understand what you're worried about, anyway. Your fear of Google being hacked and someone recording your voice is completely irrational, and even if they did get a recording why would it matter? If someone mashed a bunch of sound clips me to make it look like I was saying something bad I would laugh about it, not worry about it.

I don't give a care if my voice is recorded  it is amazing! It knows exactly what I am saying, I thought I could mess it up by saying something long but it still worked. It also gets what you are saying, like if you hold out your "yeah" it will come out "yeahh"

When I used it, it understood me part of the time and misunderstood other times.

My bro tried it too and it was a 50/50 with him too.
