google submission issues

created our forum just under 2 weeks ago and yet still nothing when I search for our forum in google using keywords.

I have now resorted to all sorts including making a video which if by magic shows up. I have decided now to obtain a domain for the forum but I am lucky in that I can keep both the old forum name or change the forum to the new domain, once the domain is active then I will submit it to google to see what happens but will just keep it on back burner for the time been to see what happens.

I do have webmaster tools and it keeps suggesting improve performance but wants me to use add words and for a new forum this is a big no no, just wondering if google are trying to do this with all new submissions?

would like to hear from others if they are having any issues with their forums not listing in google.

Have you got the Google bot on your forum? It takes quite a while before you get to like page 1 on Google search.

the google bot is showing, just been back on wmt and google anylatics and sorted out some problems and everything looks fine.

think one of the problems is that when we created the forum, the site had tech issues which were sorted but not till xmas eve so there were problems with access so basically it has only just been over a week so could be a bit early.

I am doing the right things through backlinks, search engines and so on and think having a domain name may help out some.

will keep an eye and see how things go and will list my url at the beginning of feb if it is still not showing.
