My site has been around for a few days now, yet i'm not indexed in Google... doing a search for my site is actually funny though, because my link shows up in every result :shrug:

I tried the whole "Post on a high PR site" thing, hasn't worked yet. I even put it in Google's webmaster tools.

My question: Should I wait a few more days, or submit it to Google manually?

There seems to be some problems with Google at the moment. I'd suggest waiting a few days, your site is brand new like you say. It will take some time to have it indexed.

I would wait a couple more days. My site site had ofver 100 members at one point and open a week and still wasnt index'd in google

I think it takes a while for your site to be indexed with google. It says it has been added to googles index but i don't think it does right away.

Have you tried searching it with yahoo?
My forum just appeared on yahoo today.

Ghost ive also seen people ripping your tutorials and posting them on other sites , varundest or something his name his on here.

Just to say the links on WikiAnswers are nofollow so google wouldn't have followed them

@Jasonp
I'll have a talk with him... if there's one thing I know best it's how to file a copyright complaint with his host >_>

@spyka
They're in text form too, so I didn't expect Google to find me from it. Thanks though 😛

How low is that?

Copying your guides... sheesh 😛

I would submit it to google now anyway though.. regardless it's still doesn't hurt to have it submitted!

Oh if I get proof that he's actually hosting my copyrighted material, he's gone too far. His account will be disabled for one reason or another :evil:

I think i'll submit it 😛

Well I hate google as I've added my site and it's bin top all the time and now it don't show up on the index.

Any way best thing to do is wait a few more days.

From previous experience, it cam take anywhere up to three weeks to be indexed in Google and Yahoo! takes even longer.

Although the last few sites I added got listed pretty much straight away, note that the indexed pages were just random posts but none the least it was at its beginning stages 😉

A quick note for everyone, get to know your "Google Search Shortcuts" (thats what I call them). I personally like the "site:" rule...

Go to google and type into the search:
"site:forumpromotion.net" (without the " but all as one word no need for http:// or www)

Notice how only the google searches for the domain forumpromotion.net show up 😉 not sites that have threads that contain the words forumpromotion.net.

If you need links for google adding and yahoo adding..

As for MSN Live search.. Don't even bother adding manually, it works quicker through its bots auto-finding your site through its own listing of sites that contain your link. 😛 (although for some unknown reason if you manually add, the bots appear quicker 😵)

I have been making a fair few sites over the last year and have always added them to searches. I used this time to also learn to understand how their listings work, just not to SEO aspects.

Be very cautions, if you have spam forums, they can show up as your first google indexed site until you get a full listing. This is because the spam forums are usually the most popular 😉

Hope this helps

You are listed.. And it hit your index 😀

I just made my forum, its been up for about 2 days. I submitted it to the google url index but it still doesn't come up when i search it.

It takes Google a while to start to index your site and even when the Google bot(s) start to visit, it won't show straight away.

It can take a few weeks.
