It's the first thing I do when I but a domain and have the site up. Go to Google Webmaster Tools and add my site. I believe Yahoo has a similiar such interface to add your sites to.

Thanks for posting this Uplinked. I currently use this and I think that everyone should take advantage of these. They're great tools, not to mention its FREE.

Also check out Google Analytics so you can see where your traffic's coming from and start optimizing your forum.
