googleads.g.doubleclick.net...??? WTF!

Guys I use StatCounter.com and it showes me an exit links from my site. Yesterday Ive noticed two new once starting with: " googleads.g.doubleclick.net..." I was trying to find som einfo about it but people say its all about a Google AdWords program (I dont use it or if I do i dont know about it 😛) It gave me additional revenue on my google adsense account, which is scary cos i didnt click on any ad I have from Adsense and it says doubleclick what makes me scared Adsense might close my account.

Can someone tell me WTF is it?! And is it dangerouse or not ?!

Maybe someone decided to buy advertising or use their free Adwords voucher for your site to help advertise your site since they like your website.

You do not have to be an owner of the site or verify the ownership of a site to buy advertising for other people's website even though it does not make sense since anonymously buying advertising for sites you are not a part of is a waste of money.

Google most likely ban you from Adsense for using Adwords to advertise your site since without Adwords, Adsense will not work since the revenue you make from Adsense come from Adwords, and some Google Adsense Publishers also use Adwords to advertise their site.

Ok thanx but from what you are saying Im gonna get banned for something I did not do?! Isn't that wierd? why would they ban me from Adsense if I dont use AdWords? And why AdWords is not allowed to go along AdSense?

Correction: Google most likely "WON'T" ban you from Adsense......

I think the guy buying adwords advertising might have misspelled his link wrong, and accidently gave free advertising to your website which has similar spelling because he did not double check his website link's spelling which is very similar to your link, so when people click on his ad it went to your website instead of his.

DoubleClick is an extra part of the Google Adsense network. It is supposed to help you rotate other ads into your ad locations, and is supposed to help you increase your income through both adsense, and by inserting 3rd party ads into your ad system.

Check your adsense earnings on the day you say the exit line "doubleclick.net" and you'll see that that's where the traffic was going.
