Got a forum without posts. What now?

I would recommend that you do some post exchanges for some start-up posts.

1. Enter the admin CP
2. Click "maintainance"
3. Click "import backup.

 just kidding.

Post exchanges are okay, but unless you own specifically a webmaster forum they are useless. You need to promote to the niche that your forum is in and nothing else. I would suggest going to promotion forums only for services like reviews, to be honest. Of course, if your forum is appealing to webmasters, then I guess they fit your target audience.

I can't stand a forum where the admin of the forum doesn't post. They expect everyone else to do it. That's just what is happening with a forum I am a team leader on. They expect it to become big, but they don't post.
So:
1) YOU post at least 25-50 posts.
2) Get post exchanges
3) reply to their posts..
4) advertise.

Just pointing this out, but I doubt Steve Jobs posts on the apple support forums. there are cases where this is acceptable, but I wouldn't say this is one of them.

Volux is right. No one will post in an empty forum, so you better add up some topics (bonus if original ones) before starting post exchanges.

You must have some friends that can get some topics going for you, once those are in place and it begins to looks interesting to post then get some post exchanges going - from small acorns if you promote enough you will get it off the ground.

You have to make topics on your forum to start conversations. As stated above, no one wants to join an empty forum. After that, get some packages from here do post exchanges, start a contest or two, and promote anywhere and everywhere. Promoting in places where your niche is common helps.

Good luck 😀

Promote, be active on the forums yourself and do post exchanges and affiliate exchanges.

First off, make a really good amount of topics, as many new users hate making topics.

Next, do post exchanges/buying posts.

Third, work on your search engine listing 🙂

Add your link in your signature, and profile. Start by simply making topics yourself. It can't be that hard, if so, maybe owning a forum isn't your thing.

The only logical answer to a simple question such as "What do I do now that I have zero posts?" is "Start posting"
😛

The question is dodgy. It sounds like someone has just made a forum and doesn't know what to do next. 😕
